Somers Point Man Pleads Guilty To Weapons Counts

A guilty plea from a Somers Point man for possessing unregistered machine guns and other items. The Press of Atlantic City reports 30 year old Michael John James’ home on Colwick Drive was searched in February. Police seized dozens of firearms and ballistics items, including three operable machine guns, an operable weapon modified to be shorter than a standard rifle, an operable weapon modified to be shorter than a standard shotgun and three silencers. James faces up to 10 years in prison and a fine of up to $250,000 when he is sentenced Dec. 30.
