The Egg Harbor Township Committee unanimously approved an ordinance Wednesday to install 4-way stops at three intersections to improve safety. The stops will be located at West Jersey and Ridge avenues, West Jersey Avenue and Cates Road, and Reega Avenue and Cates Road, which have seen more than 80 crashes combined over the past two years, police Capt. Cherie Burgan said. Cates and West Jersey has been the site of 15 crashes, with one fatality, Cates and Reega has had 37 crashes, and Ridge and West Jersey has had 36 crashes from January 2022 until now, Burgan said.
