In Mays Landing the Atlantic County jail was found to be 100% compliant with state standards for correctional facilities following an inspection, county officials said. And the article in the Press of Atlantic City goes on to say the state inspection took place over six days in June and included a review of categories such as personnel, training and staff development, emergency procedures, security, records, sanitation, food service, inmate services, inmate living conditions, medical, dental and health services, disciplinary procedures, admissions and access to courts, county officials said Wednesday in a news release.
