A police officer was assigned to each school in the city for the first time ever Tuesday as part of a partnership between the city and the Board of Education, city officials said.The city’s mayor, Marty Small Sr., and schools superintendent, La’Quetta Small, are married.One officer will be stationed at each kindergarten-through-eighth grade school while two officers will patrol the high school, city officials said in a news release.
