In Woodbine local, state and federal officials gathered by the fence around the site to celebrate an additional $1 million from the federal Environmental Protection Agency’s brownfields program, part of a $1.5 billion bipartisan infrastructure package. The funds will go toward cleanups at four sites in the community, including the former hat factory.The Press of Atlantic City also says the mayor wants to return the property to productive use, and to the tax rolls.
