A Pleasantville man is in jail after he was found driving a vehicle stolen in a carjacking.
BreakingAC.com reports a Galloway Township woman’s car was taken at the Pleasantville Shopping Center at about 6:48 p.m. Friday. A 17-year-old girl and 9-month-old baby were inside at the time, but released in the AC Cemetery nearby moments after the incident. On Saturday morning, and tried to conduct a motor vehicle stop, police said. But the driver, later identified as Jesus Coto, refused to stop. He fled to Atlantic City, where the pursuit ended. Coto, 30, is charged with eluding, receiving stolen property and resisting arrest by flight. More charges could be pending.
