Offshore Wind Company Buys 1.5 Acre Lot In AC

Offshore wind company Atlantic Shores would pay the city $1 million to purchase a 1.5-acre lot on Albany Avenue, reports the Press of Atlantic City, along the route where its underground cables will move electricity from the beach to the grid in Egg Harbor Township, under an ordinance introduced last week. The land will be used to access the underground cables, as a staging area and as a drilling area. The lot is at 1075 Albany Ave., across from the city’s public works facility and about a quarter mile northwest of the intersection with West End Avenue.
