AC Police Arrest Driver On Weapons Counts

The Atlantic City Police Department arrested a man with multiple handguns and the parts of others during a traffic stop.
Early Tuesday morning, police stopped a vehicle in the first block of south Florida Avenue. While speaking to the driver, 47 year old David Barabin of Atlantic City, an officer observed a powdery substance believed to be narcotics on Barabin’s jacket. A K-9 officer displayed a positive indication for drugs in the vehicle.
Officers searched the vehicle locating a bag of heroin and an empty bag that was believed to contain drugs. Also recovered was multiple handguns in parts, ammunition, several knives and machetes, and assorted add-ons for the handguns including weapon mounted lasers. Once further analyzed, Barabin was in possession of three total handguns. Barabin has a criminal history that does not allow him to be in possession of weapons.
