For about the next month, Route 9 in Lower Township will be closed and detoured in both directions near Gerrit Boulevard at milepost 3.2 the state Department of Transportation said. Drivers headed north will turn left onto Seashore Road, then right onto Tabernacle Road, returning to Route 9. Southbound drivers will turn right onto Tabernacle Road, then left onto Seashore Road.Variable messaging signs will be used to provide advanced notice of all traffic pattern changes, the DOT said Friday in a news release. All work is subject to change due to weather or other factors.
