Nothfield Republican Councilman Eric Leeds resigned from City Council last week, the same day Mayor Erland Chau returned from medical leave after facing criminal charges in October, the city clerk’s office confirmed Tuesday.According to the Press of Atlantic City, Leeds cited Chau’s continuing as mayor under the circumstances as one of many reasons for his resignation.
