When lifelong resident Ken G. Sooy Sr., 87, first joined the municipal Planning Board 44 years ago, he thought people could lie down in the middle of multiple unpaved streets in the township and not worry about cars running them over.During Sooy’s five decades of service, he has seen the commercial development of Route 9 and the White Horse Pike and accordiing to the Press of Atlantici City he retires in January.
