The sentencing of former Wildwood Mayor Pete Byron by Cape May County Superior Court Judge Bernard DeLury that was scheduled for Jan. 17 has been put off until April 25.Byron, 69, accepted a plea deal in September on charges related to receiving benefits from the State Health Benefits Plan. Over the course of about 10 years, while serving as an elected official, Byron got more than $600,000 in health benefits to which the state said he was not entitled.
