A Middle Township man was arrested after he allegedly lit a box on fire inside his storage unit to keep warm, leading to a large structure fire Wednesday morning at Burleigh Mini Storage, reports the Press of Atlantic City.
Salvatore Gellura, of the Green Creek section of the township, was charged with arson and false reports to law enforcement. He’s being held in the Cape May County jail. When police arrived, they found the building engulfed in flames, and there were fireworks going off and that a few small forest fires started as a result of gusty winds.
