Community members, advocates and allies rallied Wednesday at Routes 9 and 47 in the Rio Grande section of the township to stand in solidarity with the immigrant community. The demonstration, organized by Cape May County Indivisible, was formed to bring awareness to immigrant rights and call for an end to the raids and deportations pushed by President Donald Trump. A call to action followed the rally, urging attendees to get involved in mutual aid and efforts to support immigrant communities, advocate for policy changes and hold elected officials accountable.
