Atlantic County Budget Hearing Tuesday

Atlantic County’s $267.2 million 2025 budget, expected to lower the county general tax rate slightly, will get its public hearing and final vote at the Tuesday Board of Commissioners meeting. According to the Press of Atlantic City, the budget proposes raising $188.5 million from taxes — up from $179.5 million last year — and $78.7 million from other revenues. Despite the $9 million increase in the amount to be raised from taxes, County Executive Dennis Levinson has said he expects to see another one-cent to two-cent tax-rate decrease, due to increases in county real estate value.
