Cape May County has approved a $224 million budget for 2025. The Press of Atlantic City reports the spending plan calls for $164 million to be raised through property taxes. That’s a reduction compared to last year, and the tax rate also drops under the budget. The proposed tax rate is 16.9 cents for every $100 of assessed property value, or $845 in county taxes on a home assessed at $500,000. That number does not include school or municipal taxes or other taxes for the library or fire district.
