Police Overtime

The Casino Reinvestment Development Authority has approved 3 million dollars which will help pay for police overtime for added security along Boardwalk, Pacific and Atlantic Avenues. That will enable the city to bring additional officers on duty during the busiest times of the year, police Chief James Sarkos said.”Last summer we had officers assigned to the Boardwalk and then we supplemented them with officers on overtime,” the chief said. “This is a very similar model, following what we did last summer, which we think was highly successful.
