The Atlantic City Police Department announces the arrest of two individuals following an investigation into gunshots being fired. Thursday, detectives of the Violent Crimes Unit with assistance from the department’s SWAT Team executed a court authorized residential search warrant in the 1500 block of Baltic Avenue. The target of the investigation, Rafael Gomez, was located inside the residence and arrested. During a search, detectives recovered a loaded handgun and more than one pound of marijuana.
The second target, a 16-year-old male, was also taken into custody at a separate location.
