The Police Department promoted four officers to sergeant and hired a part-time Class II officer Friday.The new sergeants are Albert Herbert, Corey Treadway, Eric Wessler and Patrick Yarrow. Jason Pike is the new Class II officer.Mayor Marty Small Sr. administered the oath of office during a ceremony in City Council chambers.The promoted sergeants are filling vacancies created by recent retirements, the city said Monday in a news release.
