The Galloway township’s municipal budget will remain flat, with no tax increase, due to some additional revenue. When the budget was introduced last month, the township proposed a 0.9-cent tax rate increase, which would help pay for new police officers and two additional part-time employees. But when the Township Council voted Tuesday to adopt its budget, there was no tax rate increase because the budget was amended before the vote to include more than $277,000 in anticipated total surplus than was expected a month ago.
