Music Festival Facing Opposition From Nearby Residents

Residents of the Ocean Club Condominiums have long sparred with the former Chelsea Beach Bar over noise and other concerns in the area, and they have been trying to stop a planned expansion of the beach bar, now known as Cocorico. The Press of Atlantic City reports SECAA LLC dropped its plan for a beachfront swimming pool as part of the expansion, but the rest of the proposal remains active before the Casino Reinvestment Development Authority, which handles land use issues in the area. Now, the condo residents are fighting a Caribbean music festival planned for the beach bar site in mid-July.
