Man Wounded In Decade-Old Police Involved Shooting Cops Plea In Drug Case

A convicted killer who was paralyzed in an Egg Harbor Township police-involved shooting more than a decade ago pleaded guilty in a new drug case recently. BreakingAC.com reports Donald Gardner, now 51, was paroled from South Woods State Prison on Oct. 31, 2023, after serving about 10 years of an 18-year sentence that involved three separate cases, including running from police Nov. 7, 2013. He was wounded by gunfire in that case, and was paralyzed from the chest down, according to court papers. A police K-9 dog also was wounded in the incident.
