CRDA Will Take Over Renaissance Plaza Shopping Center

The state plans to take over the Renaissance Plaza shopping center, which has become a magnet for loitering, drinking and drug use, and upgrade it, including helping the existing food store remain in place.
The Casino Reinvestment Development Authority voted Tuesday afternoon to purchase the lease of the Atlantic Avenue property to try to improve access to high-quality food in Atlantic City. According to the Press of Atlantic City, the current food store, Save-A-Lot, would remain at the plaza under the plan. It would be part of an upgraded development.
