A Gloucester County man pleaded guilty Monday to first-degree possession with intent to distribute LSD. 56 year old Charles Scherer, of Williamstown, faces a 10-year term under the plea agreement. The case was sparked April 2, 2024, when postal investigators in Buena Vista Township seized a package sent from the Netherlands. An undercover officer delivered the package to Scherer’s home. Scherer was seen opening the door, picking up the package and bringing it inside. A search warrant was executed a short time later, and the package found inside the home where Scherer lived alone.
