A total of 543 New Jersey law enforcement officers received a major disciplinary action for misconduct last year, according to a report from the state Attorney General’s Office. The Press of Atlantic City reports included among the disciplinary actions was an Atlantic City police officer who engaged in sexual activity with an individual on duty, a Pleasantville police officer who was terminated after breaking a man’s wrist during an arrest and a Cape May County corrections officer who was terminated after being sentenced to three decades in prison for sexual assault.
