Inlet Skate Park

More than 100 people showed up Friday, at least half of them with skateboards, as organizers and city officials helped dedicate the latest addition to the resort’s recreational options, an Inlet skatepark.According to the Press of Atlantic City the weather was cool and damp, but the enthusiasm was apparent as several generations of skateboarders took to the ramps and asphalt during the christening of the new facility at Uptown Park at Melrose and Massachusetts avenues.“Just having places like this is special right now for our youth, not only to learn how to skateboard, but just to have a place to be and not feel like they’re loitering, like they’re allowed, they’re welcome, they’re encouraged,” said Jason Klotz, founder of Skate AC.
