Two EHT Residents Arrested After Gun Threat Reports At National Night Out Event

Two Egg Harbor Township residents were charged after the report of a firearm being brandished at those leaving the National Night Out event Tuesday. According to BreakingAC.com, a passerby flagged down an officer on the traffic detail, saying that someone in a gray Ford Mustang had been brandishing a firearm, Capt. Cherie Burgan said. Another witness told officers that the person had been pointing a firearm at a group of people before departure. Police tracked down the vehicle and found two weapons inside, one of which was a lighter shaped like a handgun. The driver, Benjamin Andrews, 21, along with passenger, Maya McKinley, 18, were both arrested and charged with possession of imitation firearms, unlawful poossession of weapons and aggravated assault.
