AC International Airport Spared In Spirit Cuts

Spirit Airlines is not reducing routes at Atlantic City International Airport in its latest cutting moves related to its bankruptcy, South Jersey Transportation Authority officials said. According to the Press of Atlantic City,
Spirit announced last week plans to furlough 1,800 flight attendants before the end of the year. The Florida-based carrier also said it is ending services in Albuquerque, New Mexico; Birmingham, Alabama; Boise, Idaho; Chattanooga, Tennessee; Columbia, South Carolina; Portland, Oregon; and Salt Lake City. Spirit filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in August.
