The U.S. Coast Guard on Monday confirmed that its active-duty military members will continue to receive pay during the ongoing federal government shutdown.The agency, which falls under the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, has a training center in Cape May.And according to the PRess of Atlantic City shortly after the shutdown began Oct. 1, U.S. Rep Jeff Van Drew, R-2nd, introduced legislation that would allow for Coast Guard and Federal Aviation Administration employees to continue being paid. Both bills were referred to the House Appropriations Committee.
