Van Drew Wants Army Corp Input On Noreaster Beaches Impact

Congressman Jeff Van Drew Van Drew calls for Army Corps action on eroded beaches after this week’s nor’easter. The Press of Atlantic City reports the nor’easter that battered the coast Sunday and Monday.
In an interview Wednesday, U.S. Rep. Jeff Van Drew, R-2nd, held out hope for some South Jersey beaches, and said he asked the Army Corps to survey beaches before the weekend’s storm, for a baseline of how much sand was lost. This week, federal and state officials were investigating the impact of the storm. Van Drew expects them to know more in the days to come.
