Atlantic County will hold a food distribution event Friday for residents who are enrolled in the federal Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, which was suspended as a result of the ongoing government shutdown. The food distribution will be held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the county’s public works yard near Route 9 and Dolphin Avenue in Northfield. All participants must present their EBT card. People will be able to choose the items they need, which are being provided by the Community FoodBank of New Jersey, the county said.
