An Atlantic City man admitted to shooting two men in 2024, while he was awaiting sentencing to Recovery Court.
According to BreakingAC.com, 31 year old Eric Melton has been jailed since Oct. 16, 2024, just days after a ShotSpotter alert led to the discovery of two men wounded by gunfire. The audio gunshot-detection system brought police to the 1300 block of Caspian Avenue at 7:10 p.m. Oct. 12, 2024, where two men were found wounded by gunfire. Melton pleaded guilty Monday to two counts of first-degree attempted murder, one count of second-degree possession of a handgun for an unlawful purpose, and one count of third-degree hindering his own apprehension.
