An Absecon man jailed for stabbing a woman in the neck as she worked at ShopRite was released last week after pleading guilty to a lesser charge. BreakingAC.com reports 36 year old Jason Wedderburn had been jailed since Feb. 4, 2023, hours after the attack inside the Absecon store. He originally was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose. He was sentenced recently and released after being given credit for the three years he had been in the Atlantic County Justice Facility.
