A group of casino employees requested that the New Jersey Supreme Court consider constitutional issues related to their appeal to a law that permits smoking on the casino floors in Atlantic City.The United Auto Workers union’s filing contends that the 2006 Smoke-Free Air Act’s exemption for casinos is not unconstitutional special legislation and that prior courts erred in concluding that the state constitution does not give a right to safety.
