The acting attorney general of New Jersey announced on Tuesday that she will not request that the state Supreme Court reconsider the dismissal of charges of racketeering against Democratic power broker George E. Norcross III and his co-defendants.A state judge’s decision to dismiss the criminal charges was upheld by a three-judge appellate panel almost three weeks prior to Jennifer Davenport’s judgment. Davenport was just nominated by new Governor Mikie Sherrill. Matt Platkin, the attorney general under Sherrill’s predecessor, fellow Democrat Phil Murphy, had secured the indictment.
