The borough of Stone Harbor has introduced ordinances implementing its fourth-round affordable housing plans in advance of a March 15 state deadline. The introduction was made Feb. 17 to leave sufficient time for public review, public hearings and votes to adopt the ordinances prior to the deadline.Across New Jersey municipalities that have accepted the state’s affordable housing numbers are required by March 15 to adopt ordinances and resolutions to implement plans that will meet their obligations, which were set in January 2025.
