In 1930, while saving two children, Patrolman William Nicholas was slain while performing his duties.The Atlantic City Police Department is attempting to learn more about him and his family nearly 94 years later.After learning about Nicholas, who was slain on September 24, 1930, from members of the Officer Down Memorial Page, a non-profit that honors dead law enforcement officers, the department said it is looking for information on Nicholas’ family.
