In response to mounting pressure from the Trump administration to discontinue the practice, families told the New Jersey Monitor that doctors and nurses of RWJBarnabas have informed renters that the health care system will no longer provide gender-affirming care for their children.One of New Jersey’s biggest hospitals and healthcare systems, RWJBarnabas, maintains that minors who are current patients can still receive this therapy. Last autumn, it decided to stop accepting new pediatric patients for gender-affirming care, including hormone therapy.
