Middle township announced on Monday that it has temporarily shuttered the township senior center due to safety concerns associated with building development.According to a news release from the township, the center is anticipated to stay closed for a few weeks until repairs are made.According to the municipality, seniors in the area can visit the other Cape May County senior facilities for social assistance, food, activities, and programming in the interim including Lower Cape Senior Center, 2612 Bayshore Road, 609-886-5161 and Cape May Senior Citizens Center 4005 Route 9, Rio Grande, 609-886-6529.
