The Stone Harbor Borough Council recently awarded a contract for a boroughwide reassessment to Professional Property Appraisers Inc. of Barrington at a cost of $678,135.The council had discussed the need for a townwide reassessment at several recent meetings. The county tax board’s equalization tables for 2026 show a ratio of assessed to true value of real estate at 50% for Stone Harbor. Normally the threshold for a reassessment is when a municipality falls below an 85% threshold ratio.
