Margate Doctor Suspension Case

A Margate doctor who admitted defrauding state and local health benefits programs and other insurers out of millions by submitting fraudulent claims for unnecessary prescriptions had his license suspended by the New Jersey State Board of Medical Examiners.Brian Sokalsky was sentenced to 15 months in prison last year after previously pleading guilty to conspiring to commit health care fraud. He began serving his sentence last December but was granted an early release July 8 and has since been on supervised release.
