Hotel Security Cameras

Security cameras would become mandatory at Atlantic city’s smaller hotels and motels under a proposed ordinance aimed at improving safety, maintenance, and oversight in non-casino lodging. The measure, which City Council introduced by an 8-0 vote Oct. 22, would require all hotels and motels with fewer than 100 rooms to install and maintain functional surveillance systems. The cameras must continuously record common areas and exterior grounds, with footage stored for at least 30 days.
