According to the Press of Atlantic City a township woman died Sunday evening after being struck by a vehicle along the Black Horse Pike, police said. Sergio Madrid, 63, of Pleasantville, was driving a 1997 Honda Odyssey west on the pike near Toulon Avenue in the West Atlantic City section of the township when the vehicle entered the center turn lane at 6:05 p.m. and hit Nazma Khatun, 49, police said Monday in a news release. Khatun was transported to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, City Campus, where she was pronounced dead, police said. Madrid, who remained on scene, was not injured.
