Brigantine’s Oceanfront Promenade

Brigantine’s oceanfront promenade is getting nearly $1.2 million in repairs and improvements due to a 2024 grant from New Jersey’s Boardwalk Preservation Fund. The repairs are being overseen by Atlantic County, which recently notified the city of the need to close the popular walkway while work was being done.Built in 1995, the Promenade was designed both to protect the island’s north end from storm damage and to provide residents and visitors with a scenic place to stroll above the dunes. The county maintains the structure and applied for the grant in partnership with the city.
