The days are numbered for the city’s public safety building at 835 Central Ave. Demolition of the brick structure could begin in January, Mayor Jay Gillian said.City Council recently approved an agreement with Engineering Design Associates of Ocean View to create a demolition plan for the building, at a cost of $18,500.According to the Press of Atlantic City that’s part of a $75,500 deal with the firm that also includes the redesign of a parking lot on Eighth Street, which Gillian told council could mean more parking spaces downtown.
