Cape May County commissioners have approved a shared services agreement with Wildwood Crest to help fund the replacement and expansion of the Heather Road Fishing Pier.According to the Press of Atlantic City the Board of Commissioners voted Dec. 16 to authorize the agreement under Resolution 676-25.The project is expected to cost about $7.37 million, with the county contributing up to $2.5 million through its Open Space Program.The project will fully rebuild and extend the pier, which no longer reaches the ocean due to years of sand buildup.
