A Philadelphia man was convicted of murder Wednesday in a 2023 killing. According to BreakingAC.com, Jamar Jones, now 37, killed Luis Rosa Rodriguez following an altercation Nov. 7, 2023. Surveillance video showed the two getting into a fight in the area of 25 S. Florida Ave., and then Jones leaving. He returned about 43 minutes later, wearing a mask her purchased, and then shot Rodriguez, who died from a gunshot wound to the head.
He remained a fugitive until Feb. 20, 2024, when an investigation by the Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit and Atlantic City Police Department’s Violent Crimes Unit led to 61 N. Martin Luther King Blvd. at about 8:30 a.m.
