In an effort to stay close to the top of the city’s casino industry, Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City plans to invest an additional $50 million this year on room upgrades and other projects.The firm said on Monday that it has started renovating the hotel’s North Tower, which has more than 700 regular guest rooms, more than 60 suites, and eight penthouses, as well as new walkways and hallways.
