Atlantic County Executive Dennis Levinson has unveiled a $283 million budget for 2026 that would increase spending on salaries, health benefits, and important facilities while lowering the general purpose tax rate by 2 cents.In his speech to the county commissioners, Levinson stated, “I am adding $22.5 million of surplus, a little more than 50%, to our budget in 2026.” The anticipated county tax levy would come to $198.5 million after applying that surplus.
