This week, an Atlantic City man pled guilty in the Superior Court at Mays Landing in two pending indictments.
On Monday, March 9, 2026, Shawn Braxton, 49, of Atlantic City, pled guilty to second-degree Unlawful
Possession of a Weapon – Handgun without a Permit and third-degree Aggravated Assault. In exchange for the
guilty plea, Braxton is to be sentenced to a term of five years New Jersey State Prison with a parole ineligibility
period of three and a half years concurrent to 4 years New Jersey State Prison.
Sentencing is scheduled for April 20th.
